This coming weekend we will be celebrating the junior
racers of the world as the Whistler Cup gets underway. Kicking off
on the 13th and running until the 16th, the
junior racing community will be showing their stuff in Slalom, GS, and
Super G. This weekend also marks the last days of skiing for
Whistler Mountain so for the rest of the season Blackcomb will be your
spring skiing destination. Even though this happens every year, I
always find the closure a bit abrupt as if there was no
warning. I feel I should at least have a goggle tan before
Whistler closes, but my last ski days have been in full winter with no
sign of the “spring” in “spring skiing”. The positive of course is
that the skiing is fantastic so we could be in for some great skiing
right up until the end (goggle tan or not).
For this week’s highlights, we have new sneakers from Vionic – Pismo and Malibu. Both
styles have a built-in footbed which is what Vionic is known
for. Also, in the new category are some new greeting
cards - beautiful on the outside, blank on the
inside. In the jewellery department, I have highlighted the St.
Christopher necklace by Leah Alexandra (patron
saint of travelers) and the Devi and Devotion meditation
rings.
We're open this week in the Whistler village every day from 10 am
