KEEPING COOL
A different kind of summer
This summer has been different - cooler, crisper… calmer. Without the blast of afternoon heat, we have been able to go for longer walks, sit out without having to be in the shade, and actually finish our ice cream cones before they melt. The cooler temperatures are friendlier, generous, and protective. They lower the risk of forest fires and the smoke they bring, so our levels of anxiety are also lower, which leads to more of everything else. Our forests and reservoirs need the rain, so bring it on and embrace the calm.
Mountains are always representative of calm. They are always there, change very little over time, and offer a sense of permanence. Mountains can also be representative of a journey or an accomplishment; a reward for reaching the top. Mountains are generously represented at Ruby Tuesday, but for today, I have chosen the Summit collection by Squamish’s Treeline Collective – available in Sterling silver and 14k gold vermeil
For summer fashion, I love amazonite! It’s a gorgeous green stone that conjures thoughts of waves and cool summer days. Representative of courage and truth, the amazonite stone shines brightly on a summer’s day. I love the Lenny collection by Vancouver’s Sarah Mulder, which highlights this magnificent stone.
To keep your feet cool, Los Cabos has a sandal for you! The Bride sandal is an easy slip-on with a cushioned sole to keep you comfortable and cool all summer long.
Now the best part of a cool summer is a cool summer shoe sale!! Many of our summer shoes (not all) are now at 25% off. Shop our shoe sale
