Do we get smarter as we get older, or do we just run out of stupid things to do? I like the idea of “with age comes wisdom,” but do we not also decline with age? I suppose we are always accumulating experiences and knowledge, so in one respect we may know more than we did when we were young and perhaps make better decisions because of that, but does that actually make us smarter? I have to admit, I do way fewer stupid things now than I did when I was younger, but to be honest, some of those stupid things were really fun. So has fun changed and therefore this has made us smarter? Perhaps this is the trade-off, and somewhere between childhood antics and old age decline, we are at our peak of smarts and safety while having fun. It’s nice to know that entertainment can advance from pushing peas up one’s nose and that not all fun things end up at the ER.
For something fun and smart, may I suggest a trip to Ruby Tuesday! Highlights this week include hoops by Vancouver’s Sarah Mulder. The Deb and Lucky stars hoops are stunners on their own but also play well with others. Also stunning is the Prisma necklace by Pursuits Designs.
