Our National Anthem says it all – True North Strong and Free. Yes, we are and we are going to stay that way! Free of tyranny, free of oppression, and hopefully free of tariffs. NO amount of rhetoric and bullying from the South is ever going to change our decree.
We, all of us, in this great country, are in the same boat and it is our time to stand together and work towards our common goal which is the preservation of our country as we know it. We will survive whatever the Trump administration throws at us and let us be clear it is the administration that is the aggressor, not the American people. We do not have an issue with the people of the USA, in fact, we encourage their visitorship and embrace their support. Let us go forward with enthusiasm to be Canadian and support Canadian businesses, Canadian products, and shout our Canadian mantra – Glorious and Free, Oh Canada We stand on guard for thee!
There is no shortage of Canadian products at Ruby Tuesday. This week I will highlight four more of our incredible Canadian Designers. Sarah Mulder, from Vancouver, BC, designs the most beautiful gold pieces; mesmerizing, stylish, and perfect for every day or a night out on the town. The jewellery Justine Brooks creates celebrates our natural environment and my personal favourites are her cedar earrings and necklaces (especially her gold pieces); up your style with one of these and feel a connection to nature. And of course, I would be remis if I did not bring attention to our First Nations designer Nancy Dawson and her Silver Eagles brand. She and her nephew Vincent, design, hand carve, and produce all of their pieces on Vancouver Island. Their cuff bracelets are available in the Eagle, Bear, Wolf, and Hummingbird designs. Lastly, I have the cute and funny greeting cards by Vancouver artist Anable St John under the label Queen & Grace. Whether it is a birthday, a celebration, or “just because” you will find the perfect card for the occasion.
