Rain, snow, tulips and taxes

April has always been a month in transition, where Mother Nature sheds her cloak of winter and brings forth the suggestion of spring and summer. It looks like this year that cloak has a stuck zipper and she just can’t seem to get it off. Winter has hung on with a tenacity that is unparalleled (in my memory) to any recent April. I noticed that my tulips are still trying their best to poke their heads up even though the snow keeps trying to beat them down. We can learn a lot from tulips – they know what they are supposed to do and just do it! They know the weather will eventually change and just persevere – for them it’s a guarantee. Another guarantee in April is Taxes – consider this your 10-day count down to T-Day. Since the weather is going to suck, you might as well hunker down and get those taxes done.

For those of you getting a tax refund, I can suggest a great way to get that annoying extra cash out of your bank account – come shop at Ruby Tuesday! And for those of you not so fortunate, a little retail therapy goes a long way. For this week's highlights, I have not so surprisingly chosen Umbrellas! We have a very decent selection of umbrellas in store with only a small selection online. In our “New” category we have just received the Lavish slip-on sandal by Biza in 3 colours. And for jewellery enthusiasts, we have the Circle Lariat by local designer Helen Chan of Lazy Maisie Creates and the adorable Pinecone earrings by Squamish designer Justine Brooks.

As the season is changing, so are our store hours... We're now open in the Whistler village on Sunday-Thursday from 10 am - 7 pm and on Fridays and Saturdays from 10 am - 8 pm! Our online store is always available so you can also shop all of our new arrivals, jewellery, handbags, footwear, blankets, gifts, sales, anytime and at your leisure!
