So it looks like our “second summer” is about to come to
a close – and probably a good thing too. With the return of forest
fires, smoky skies, and drought it's time this came to an end. The
rains are likely to start today and continue for as far as the forecast
is showing with cool to cold temperatures which will likely bring
snow. Since ski season is to start in about a month the snow
is welcome! An e-mail I received recently from Whistler/Blackcomb
stated that the new Creekside gondola and new Red chair, although
behind schedule, will be ready for opening day – woop woop!
Also in Whistler this week is our new council – congratulations to
all the successful candidates! I am confident that this council
will speed up the availability of affordable housing and sort out the
building permitting issues – go team go!
For this week's highlights, I have chosen all things new to Ruby
Tuesday. In the footwear department, we have the saucy Jeanie
ankle boot – ooh la la. Put these puppies on and
sashay your way down the stroll! Jewellery Designer Justine Brooks
has come out with a new collection of Birthstone
charms – the perfect gift! Also in the Jewellery
department is the Lead
with your Heart Talisman by Pyrrha and the Bubbles
necklace by Pursuits. I know that many of you are
patiently awaiting the arrival of the NexGrip winter boots. We have
just received our first box and now have the Kim in
black patent leather available. Although this is the
only boot we have in stock, all the boots are now visible on our
website under NexGrip
so you can familiarize yourself with what is coming
