Do bunnies lay easter eggs?

Was it just me or did everyone think that bunnies laid Easter eggs? Perhaps this was a product of April Fools’ Day’s proximity to Easter, or perhaps I was a particularly gullible kid. Anyway, for some reason bunnies and colourfully decorated eggs have become synonymous with Easter for….ever?? Who knows when this started or why – likely a combination of the religious event and the pagan festival for spring (bunnies and eggs being representative of fertility.) And without a doubt, images of cute bunnies and beautifully painted eggs are somewhat more pleasing than other images that could come to mind with regard to Easter. Besides the obvious religious significance of Easter, it is also a perfectly timed spring long weekend. It follows shortly after the spring equinox (and daylight savings) so we have longer days, the buds start coming out on the trees and the spring flowers start to pop their heads up. It is nature's way of saying “Let’s party!”

We have some exciting new items to mention at Ruby Tuesday! Our first shipment of Vionic summer sandals is in with the Rejuvenate slide – available in 3 super fun colour combinations. Also in the new category, are the Scoop earrings by Pursuits - glass globe hook earrings available in grey and amber. Matt & Nat has been steadily shipping us our new Spring bags, and this week we received the Hiley bag, now available in Vinyard and espresso. Lastly, we have the Spin and Wish meditation rings – we have many new styles in stock, but my favourites are the Lunar that come in sterling silver, 14k gold and rose gold.
