With the absolute turmoil in the world economic order, I feel distractions are needed. Whatever you do, DO NOT look at your investment portfolio! Instead, search the Net for cute puppy videos or try a new recipe. Now that it is spring, the great outdoors has become unfrozen and more accessible, so perhaps get outside and take in the freshness of the air and the beauty of new growth. With the changing of seasons, there is much to be distracted by - gardening comes to mind, spring cleaning, biking, hiking, patio dining, re-organizing, re-decorating, and re-invigorating your wardrobe. I recently went to a clothing swap organized by a friend of mine and for no cost, gave my wardrobe a new lease on life. Not only did I gain a few great new pieces, but I purged some unloved clothes out of my collection.
This next period of time is undoubtedly going to be difficult, but remember this too shall pass. Our happiness is up to us as individuals, and although it's not always easy, it’s worth focusing on and finding ways to put a smile on your face and the ones closest to you. Top of mind for highlights this week is the new “Always Whole” necklace by Vancouver jewellery designer Sarah Mulder. Engraved with the words “Always Whole” on the back, this necklace serves as a reminder that despite our challenges or phases in life, we remain complete, no matter what we face. Next on my list is the Petite Bow stud earring by Leah Alexandra (also a Vancouver jewellery designer) – if you are looking for something to put a smile on your face, remember that everything is better with a bow on it. When it comes to Spring, I am always reminded of Vancouver Island’s Black Drop Designs. This BC jewellery maker captures the beauty of our natural surroundings with her photographic pieces encased in resin. Lastly, if something new is on your list, our Spring 2025 collection from Canada’s Matt & Nat has arrived, and we are just loving the Rome small wallet! Big enough to carry your essentials and small enough for when you are on the go. Feel free to reply to this e-mail with thoughts, opinions, or suggestions – I look forward to your comments.
