Make room for something new
Although change can be seen as a challenge, it is necessary for personal growth, new perspectives, and resilience. Thankfully, our seasons create change for us, and every few months we progress into a new season where much of what we do and wear modifies and we adapt to the altered climate and landscape. September offers cooler temperatures (although daytime highs can feel quite summery), shorter days, and a changing Flora and Fauna. We embrace this change (basically because we have to) and discover a significant amount of joy in the advancement of our seasons. The Autumn offers time to put our articles of summer away, don our warmer outerwear, and plan for winter. To me, this is the biggest change we have each and every year, and all of us living near the 49th Parallel acknowledge and live through it with ease – we are pros!
