Winter conditions

There are so many ways to enjoy the snow and winter weather. Without snow we wouldn’t have skiing, snowboarding, skating, snowshoeing, bobsledding – the list goes on! Snow also has a wonderful way of enhancing the view and creating beauty in a grey landscape. HOWEVER! Even I am having a tough time coming up with something positive to say about what is outside my front door right now. Frankly, it is just gross! It’s a slippery, slushy disgusting mess. The municipal workers are hard at work in the village salting and scraping ice off the walking routes but the rain will continue to fall over the next number of days so please be careful. On a positive note, much of this rain in the valley will be snow in the alpine - woop woop!!

I can’t stress enough, the importance of good footwear during this part of the year. We still have some winter boots in stock that have a cleat system built into the heel for ice traction. They are also waterproof, which is also super important at this time. As with most things, this too shall pass and as we all know, life is full of challenges.

January is a great month to give back to yourself. Treat yourself to something from one of our local designers (Justine Brooks, Lazy Maisie, Treeline Collective or Mana Designs) or a meaningful talisman by Pyrrha. You can find us in the Whistler village for all of your shopping enjoyment on Sunday - Thursday from 10am - 6pm and on Friday and Saturday from 10am - 7pm! As always, if you can't make it here in person you can still shop from our full selection of gifts, jewellery, handbags, winter boots, housewares, and more on our website here!
