With Canada’s very best summer athletes in Japan
competing in the 2020 (2021) Olympics, we at home are gathered around
our TV’s (on the edges of our seats) watching and cheering them
on. For us at home, the Olympic games are an exciting few weeks that
happen every 2 years, but for the athletes, these games are a life time
in the making. What does it take to be an Olympian? Talent
without a doubt, but that is not all. An Olympic hopeful must have
determination and be willing to train, to be focused and never loose
sight of the prize. Even so, in each event there can only be one
winner… and that winner, is the best in the world.
Striving to be the best, is an admirable calling. Most of us, will
never be an Olympic athlete but we can still strive to be the best, or
at least really good a what we do. Be proud of how you show up
every day and your daily achievements. After all, you are the best
at being YOU.
Our highlights this week include the Nothing is impossible Talisman by Pyrrha
and the Eagle cuff by Nancy Dawson. Both
of these beautiful pieces remind us that our best is always possible.
The Whistler Village has certainly come to life this week from visitors
across the province enjoying our beautiful blue skies and sunny days.
