If there has ever been a time more ripe to adjust our
reliance on oil and gas, it is now. With Putin raging war in
Ukraine, the price of oil and gas has gone through the roof. There
are many ways of adjusting to a more green lifestyle. If we stop
purchasing items that use oil and gas products, retail stores will
reduce their inventory and manufacturing will make less. It all
starts with us! Plastic packaging, clothing made with manufactured
fibers, and of course the gas we put in our cars. I am currently
looking forward to some drier, warmer weather to get my electric cargo
bike out of storage so I can eliminate driving my car in Whistler.
What other changes can we make? How can we as a community
invest in our future by investing in a greener existence now?
As the crisis in
Ukraine continues, Ruby Tuesday will continue to make a weekly donation
to the Red Cross at the Canadian Red
Cross Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis appeal.
At Ruby Tuesday we have been busy unpacking a slew of new
products. Cute stud earrings, elegant designs by Karyn Chopik, and new funky earrings
from Pursuits.
