We’ve all heard the expression “time is money,” and in the world of commerce, that may be true, but in the grand scheme of life, is it? Is it a commodity that we can spend, share, give, waste, ask for, or buy? Sure, but this commodity, in my opinion, is not money. Perhaps we individually have a “bank account of time,” but when we “spend time,” we are not diminishing our time bank account but adding to its value. We are all here on earth for an undisclosed but finite amount of “time” (this is undisputed), but the value of that time is what is important. Since we have very little control over the amount of time we have here, it’s not a bad idea to reflect on the value of the time we have. So yes, spend, share, and give your time freely and bring value to your Life-time.
Since all time has value, let’s get down to it. For my highlights this week, I have chosen the Live Every Moment talisman by Pyrrha – a poignant reminder to live every moment of our fleeting life. Not meant to be morose, but as a boost to your everyday motivations. Also in the jewellery sphere, we have the Life Collection by Squamish’s Treeline Collective. This collection depicts the rings of growth on a tree, reminding us that each year we grow and evolve, and become a more solid version of ourselves. One of the pieces I make (Adrienne Deeks Jewellery design) is the Tree of Life pendant – an image of far-reaching branches that remind us that we are never truly alone and that on some level, we are all connected.
