The road to discovery

As Easter approaches, I have been pondering the significance of the event, and ultimately, it is about new beginnings, new connections, and a chance at re-invention. With Jesus ascending to the right side of God, a new connection between God and Man was created, and it was the beginning of the Catholic church. While I appreciate the historical significance of Easter, I’m not an overly religious person, and I am more inclined to treat it as a teaching moment and learn from it. In other words, this weekend is a time when we should be thinking of new beginnings, new connections, and perhaps re-invention. Since it is Spring, a natural time of change, it really is the ultimate opportunity to ponder where we are at, where we have been, and where we want to go. The two questions I find most useful in this process are what do I want (more of) in my life, and what do I not want. The road to discovery is in these questions. Be realistic in your thought process and don’t be afraid to set boundaries and put your needs first.

If your Easter weekend brings you to Whistler, please pop by Ruby Tuesday - we have new spring shopping opportunities just waiting for you. New for spring from Montreal design house Matt & Nat, we have the Bee crossbody handbag – a perfect everyday bag available in 3 colours. Also new, is a great collection of gold hoops from Vancouver designer Sarah Mulder – we are obsessed with the Deb and Lucky stars hoops, which complement each other if worn together but are stunning on their own. Pyrrha has also come out with a great new spring collection, and this week I have chosen the Tranquility Talisman, depicting a sprig of lavender, which is a symbol of tranquility and healing. This talisman encourages you to nurture your emotional well-being and quiet your mind amidst life's chaos. And lastly, we have the Pismo sneakers by Vionic – the built-in footbed offers comfort and support as you stroll the Village over the long weekend.
