Last week, I was rescued by a good Samaritan. Without going into too many details, it had to do with a flat tire on a sketchy part of the highway, and time was limited. As I was hauling my spare tire out of the trunk (preparing to do this myself with no experience), a friendly voice came from the stream of cars slowly trying to get around me… "Would you like some help?" Less than 10 minutes later, I’m back on the road, wth a slightly less than full donut for a front tire – not ideal, but as time was extremely limited, it was going to have to do. In the hours that followed, I reflected on how bad that situation may have gotten and how lucky I was to have the right person at the right time pass by me and offer help. He not only offered help but was incredibly efficient and practiced in the help he was offering. I would have given (a reasonable amount of) anything to him as a thank you, but he refused to accept anything but the gratitude I expressed. This will end up being a minute part of my life, but I guarantee I will remember it forever, and I hope that I can live up to the example he set for me that day.
Meanwhile, back at Ruby Tuesday… we have new stock! Our cozy ponchos are back in stock – they were super popular last fall, so we’ve brought them back in a new slate of colours. We also received the first of our fall boots from Miz Mooz – the Angelika boot! This boot combines Urban style with practical durability (they also go with everything). Next, we have the new offerings from Toronto’s Pur-suits – the Tikkatock necklace (available in 5 different variations) and the Glint Earrings will set the stage for your fall accessories. If you are in Whistler, pop by for a visit – we would love to see you.
