In preparation for the first Thanksgiving, an enormous amount of effort had to have been made. Early settlers, after arriving in what is now North America, with little to nothing, built homes, communities, farmed, and without a doubt struggled to survive and thrive. As a celebration of their efforts, they organized a feast at the time of harvest where all were included. As we plan our Thanksgiving feast and celebration this coming weekend, I think it is appropriate to reflect on what went into that first dinner. Hard work, perseverance, and a determination to survive in their new home were certainly a driving force, but beyond that, they were creating community and long-lasting partnerships. As you gather and feast this weekend, reflect on the year you and your clan have had; celebrate each other, share stories, and give thanks – these moments are your biggest rewards.
As the cool weather and shorter days take hold, it’s time to get cozy; our pull-over ponchos (available in 4 colours) will do the trick. Super soft and super cozy, these ponchos are a fall go-to! To round out your fall outfit, the Whitley Boot by Biza is a showstopper. With zippers on both sides of the boot, they are easy to take on and off, and the rugged soul will take you off-road or down the city street in chic style. Pyrrha always has a talisman to suit the moment, and for this week, I have chosen the Motivated Talisman (available in 14k gold and sterling silver), which represents a commitment to hard work and, at the same time, asks that you celebrate what you love about yourself and cherish in others. Last on my list today are the birthstone charms by Leah Alexandra. These 14k gold-plated sterling silver tiny charms are sweet on their own or layer beautifully with others.
