Being that it is October and the quietest time of the
year here in Whistler, it’s the perfect time to count
inventory. Not our favourite job to say the least, so very
thankful it only happens once a year. While in the throws of counting,
I was reflecting on how the “taking of inventory” is not just a
practical task we do for a business but also a philosophical one
we should do for ourselves. Taking note of all that we have, the
things we have that we don’t know we have, and the things we think we
have but don’t. I find we can get caught up in the past and the
future; sometimes you need to just stop and take stock of where you are
now. What in your life contributes to your happiness? What
causes you stress or anxiety? Take stock of all of it and see what
changes you can make – your NOW is waiting.
Wth this theme in mind, I have chosen two jewellery items that I feel
are reflective of taking your personal inventory. The Rooted
Tree of Life necklace (there are earrings
as well) is representative of the strong roots that keep you
grounded. The roots are far-reaching and keep you connected to
what’s important in your life. The new Grounding
Talisman by Pyrrha speaks of staying calm, centered, and
balanced despite what’s happening around you.
On a lighter note, we received our first dusting of snow this week in
the valley – yes winter is finally here! While we have one style
of NexGrip boot in stock (the Kim in
Patent leather) we patiently (not really) wait for the
rest of the stock to arrive. Supply chain issues affecting
shipping are still happening – but they will arrive soon! We also have
the Lizette
boot in 4 fantastic colours – Black,
Ochre,
Bordeaux,
and White
– all beauties!!
