It's hard to believe that it’s October with the
beautiful warm weather we have been having here in
Whistler. Temperatures in the 20s for this last while and into the
foreseeable future – wow! We are in for a beautiful Thanksgiving
weekend this year – now that is something to be thankful
for! Thanksgiving weekend has always been one of my favourite
holidays because it is about getting together with friends and family
and celebrating togetherness with food and drink. It also marks the
transition from summer to winter (or for us in Whistler, from dry to
wet). The rain will eventually find us and with it, we will get
snow…lots of snow. My brother has a theory that if we have a dry
fall we will get a very wet (snowy) winter – I hope he is right.
Of course, now that we are in October, our days are getting noticeably
shorter and cooler. We tend to get cozy at home more than we go
out, so take advantage of this coming Thanksgiving weekend and get
together with friends and celebrate each other and the change in seasons.

Please note that as we are moving into shoulder season our
Whistler village store hours are changing. Starting this Friday, our
new hours will be Sunday -
Thursday from 10am - 6pm and Friday and Saturday from
10am - 7pm. Of course, you can
always still shop all of our new arrivals, jewellery, handbags,
footwear, housewares, gifts, sales, and more on our website! |
