I love food, in fact, I think about food more than I think about anything. I plan dinner at breakfast time and I’ll have thought about lunch yesterday. With my summer time spent mostly outdoors (and sometimes on the go), I enjoy great sandwiches. The beauty of the sandwich is that you can put just about anything in it (with perhaps the exception of soup and spaghetti). Sandwiches allow you to express your individuality – are you a PB and J person? Ham and cheese? Or do you like to get fancy with chutneys, exotic cheeses, and microgreens? It really is the most liberating dining experience where you don’t need utensils or even a plate (perhaps a napkin, although a sleeve will usually suffice). Sandwiches can be cold or heated, and the best are grilled! They can be wet or dry depending on your choice of ingredients and are always delicious. There are absolutely no rules when it comes to a sandwich, which may be why I love them so much – rules cramp style and limit personal pizzaz. I’m hungry!!
