For those of us who live where there are
four distinct seasons, we are subject to an ever-changing weather
landscape. With each change of season, there is an excitement that
grows as we anticipate what comes next. And although we may be sad
to see a season come to its conclusion, there is solace in that we know
it will be back next year. Of course, not all people look at all
seasons (and what comes with that season) the same. For some, it’s
all about summer for the heat and the long days, for others, winter is
where it’s at for the snow-draped landscape, the quiet, and of course
winter sports. Spring releases the hold of winter and grants
illusive promises that quicken the heartbeat, where the excitement is
palatable. And lastly, we have Autumn, which through a burst of
colour and cooler temperatures, gently closes the door on summer and
transitions us to winter. For the human spirit, change is
important – it makes us resilient, unflappable and gives us something
to look forward to. It teaches us to be patient and to accept
where we are without question.
Seasonal changes will also affect your fashion choices – obviously, if
it is sunny, you might rock a pair of sunglasses –
and Yes, we have lots to choose from. On hot days, I like to wear
a pair of snowflake
earrings to keep me cool and when it’s dark, I find
a bit of sparkle lets the light in; the new collection from Leah
Alexandra is loaded with sparkle and my new faves are the pavé
huggies hoop earrings. And when the sun
goes down and you need to get cozy, visit Cozy
Corner for our selection of pillows and blankets.
