Santa clause is coming...

As we enter the countdown to Christmas (29 sleeps), it’s a good time to ponder what your Christmas will look like this year. It’s an incredible time of giving and sharing, not just of physical gifts, but of time and effort. With a month to go, there is still plenty of time to organize and plan what you want your Christmas to look like. This year I will be flying to Ontario to spend time with my WHOLE family – that’s a lot of people!! My 89-year-old mother will be at the helm, cooking up a storm to feed her brood – 4 generations in all. A big family Christmas is a wonderful experience, but it’s not always possible. Quite often I host Christmas here in Whistler, where friends will come for a few days, and we cook, eat, ski and have a festive days-long party. Whatever your Christmas plan looks like, the effort you put in now will add to the joy later. It does not need to be complicated or fancy, it just needs to be honest, do-able and full of cheer – ‘Tis the season to be jolly… Fa la la la la la la la la!

If part of your Christmas plan is gifts, well then… we can help you out. We are stocked high with meaningful gifts for the “nice” on your list (and have great gifts as well for the naughty). Our weekly stack this week is comprised of Treeline Collective's 14k gold vermeil Summit necklace, as well as a 2mm gold-filled paperclip chain and a gold-filled box chain – stacked together, they make a sensational display. Also this week, are the ski necklaces by Whistler’s Lazy Maisie Creates – available in gold fill and silver, they are a great way to celebrate the season. Another great gift is anything from Toronto design house Pursuits, and this week I will highlight the gold and grey glass collection. The combination of the gold and the glass is exquisite and will make any holiday outfit a standout. And lastly, this week is the Jenna boot by Montreal’s Nex Grip (available in black and cognac). This boot will get you through any winter because it is waterproof, rated to -35°C and has an ice-cleat built into the heel for ice traction.
