I made a new dinner recipe the other night, and although I didn’t have all the correct ingredients, I made some substitutions, and it turned out great (thanks for asking). It got me thinking about how things turn out when you try something new. Trying new things can be exhilarating, terrifying, satisfying, fun, horrific, or tasty, as in my dinner. We are faced with NEW all the time, and we can choose to do the NEW or not. New is a way of getting a different result or charting a fresh path; making change to the everyday in a way that sparks joy, interest, or even excitement and achievement. Like a recipe, what you put into your efforts for NEW will measurably affect the outcome. Putting in fresh thoughts, well-measured ideas, the correct equipment, and fully baking (nothing half-baked), you will have a bona fide NEW result. In this day and age, NEW is getting thrown at us daily, and it can be tough to keep up. Don’t be afraid of the NEW, chart your own path, and be the master of your NEW.
