"Kids don’t really need mothers. They just need something to wipe their hands on." I read this a while ago, and I’m still laughing. There are so many really funny quotes about motherhood that cover all aspects of the job; honestly, it’s an endless supply of material. Another great quote is “When my kids become wild and unruly, I use a nice, safe playpen. When they're finished, I climb out." Of course, when you get down to the heart of the humour, you see chaos, tears, and an endless amount of sticky goo that seems to cover everything. Mothers are amazing, and although one day a year is not nearly enough to express our deep gratitude of and for these incredible people, it’s a start.
With Mother's Day in mind, I have made some specific choices for the highlights today. The You live in my heart talisman by Vancouver Design house Pyrrha reminds us that even though the people we love are not physically present, we carry them with us. Two more items that I think would make great Mother's Day gifts are the pavé hoop from Leah Alexandra (available in 2 sizes) and our new collection of 14k gold-filled birthstone charms. Last on my list today are our newly received Bria Sandals. These vegan lightweight sandals, available in 4 colours, are adjustable and oh so comfortable. Get a pair for yourself and a pair for Mom!
