The bulk of our learning happens before we are 30, but this does not mean we stop; or at least it does not mean you have to stop. If a person is open to learning, it can be a daily experience and a very rewarding one as well. Whether you want to take courses in language, music, science, gardening, or something less structured like watching TED Talks or YouTube videos, there is a lot of learning to be had. It’s a well-known fact that lifelong learning is beneficial for cognitive maintenance and development, and simply being open to it creates space for it to happen. I believe that a hindrance to learning is the ego, where we are perhaps embarrassed because of our perceived lack of knowledge in a given area. Know this now, you do not know everything! Allow yourself to learn… you will be rewarded for it.
Something you may not know is that there are new items at Ruby Tuesday begging to be yours! Although our days are still warm, the evenings have cooled off significantly, and a nice cozy scarf will not only keep you warm but will elevate your fall style. Also new, are the Winnie boots in the colour wine by Biza shoes – a standout for fall with a rugged sole and fantastic street appeal. As for some jewellery items, the Honeybee talisman by Pyrrah symbolizes life and continuous growth – a perfect sentiment for one whose mandate is continuous learning or perhaps a current goal.
