I was struck this week by how many people in Whistler
were here to visit with family. Whether they were visiting family
that live in Whistler or had chosen Whistler as a destination for their
family to get together. These last few years have proven
challenging for families to gather, so this year seems to be a time of
great reconnection for so many. With modern technology, we can
certainly stay in touch with our loved ones from afar but there is
nothing that can replace being together, giving and receiving hugs, and
just being present with others. I myself have family coming at the
end of the month and just had other family members leave this
week. It is a joy to show off our backyard and share in all that
we have. I’ve always said that when you live in Whistler you are
guaranteed visitors.
