Risk can quite often have negative connotations,
however, risk is what is necessary to grow, to be creative and
innovative, to change or advance; sometimes even happiness requires
risk. Every day we make choices, and there is a level of risk in each
choice we make. Most of our daily choices have minimal risk, as in
what to have for lunch, but more important choices come with higher
risk. When deciding on the direction you would like your life to
take, whether you are just out of school, changing jobs, or thinking
about retiring, you will need to evaluate how much risk you are willing
to take. With risk there are consequences or perhaps a more
positive word would be reward – without risk there is no
reward. So to make wise choices, assess the consequences/reward
and embrace the risk.
