I recently heard a program on CBC about decision science and was intrigued by the topic. I suppose I never really thought about the science behind the decisions we make every day (although really, there is science supporting everything we do). In my research, I have learned that decision-making is a complex compilation of many aspects of the brain, including rational thought, emotional intuition, creativity, confidence, trade-offs and uncertainties. In other words, there is a lot going on here! I have been around long enough to have experienced some very poor decision-making on my part as well as some very sound choices – we all have, this is a human paradigm. In my opinion, where the road takes a turn is at the emotional intuition, or perhaps emotional interference. If we really want to do something, it overrules the rational side of the brain, and well… this is what the Darwin awards are made of. Of course, there is value to all decisions, good and bad, and perhaps the most important is the lessons learned. We are only human and are faulty at best, but if we can learn from all our decisions (bad and good), we are set up for a calmer, more peaceful life. Good decisions this week might include a trip to Ruby Tuesday! We have new Matt & Nat handbags and wallets, including the Rome wallet (available in 9 colours). It really is the perfect wallet – compact but big enough for what you need. Also new is the Sea Grass Collection by Ayala Bar – stunning greens in beautiful designs. From Leah Alexandra, I have chosen the St. Christopher necklace. St. Christopher is the patron saint of travellers, said to protect you while away from home. Last this week is the Jenna boot by Nex Grip. As we have seen this week, winter is NOT over. These boots will get you through the snow, the sleet, over ice and keep you warm in the cold.
For any information regarding the sale of Ruby Tuesday, please reach out to my Realtor.
