Graduation is something we, in this part of the world,
may take for granted. Most young people we know will graduate from high
school, and around two-thirds of Canadians will go on to receive
post-secondary education. In many places in the world education is not
widely available, or maybe only available until a certain age or only
available to boys. We should never take education for granted and
remember to be grateful for the education available to us. This is
why celebrating our grads is so very important. At the end of this
month, the latest batch of graduates will enter the post-high school
world, some to go on to further education, some to travel some to enter
the workforce. For all you parents of these new graduates – well
done! You have set your children up for success and now they will
go forth and (hopefully) prosper.
For this week's highlights, I have chosen the Direction
