I’m not sure there is a definitive definition of Christmas Spirit as I think it might be different for different people. For me, it is a sense of festive hope that brings me great joy. It’s possible that because Christmas is just a week before the New Year, the sense of hope is amplified by the idea of a New Year with new beginnings. But Christmas in itself offers a great sense of joy and community. It’s about giving, and not just gifts to one another, but charity giving and community events. It’s a great time to openly think about other people and their needs and how you might be able to help.
Of course, gift-giving amongst family and friends is a large part of Christmas
Spirit and if you are looking for some gift-giving ideas, we have you
covered. For my highlights this week we have the St Christopher necklace by Leah Alexandra. St Christopher
is the patron Saint of Travelers - a perfect gift for the traveler on your
list. Next, we have our cozy sweaters –
perfect for keeping you and your loved ones warm on cold winter nights. Of
course, a good pair of winter boots is what everyone needs and the Nex Grip boots have
it all – waterproof, wool lined, 100% leather, and a built-in ice cleat in the
heel – this week it is all about the Bella Mid boot available
in black
and hazelnut. Lastly,
we have some great sale items from our Cozy Corner department.
The Realite candles are
battery operated (yes they come with batteries) and look and feel like real
candles but with no fire hazard and we also have some very cute throw pillows on
sale as well.
Get your holiday shopping done early so you can just sit back and relax for the
next few weeks! We're now open in the Whistler village 10 am - 7 pm every day!
