Sometimes the anticipation of Christmas is not necessarily positive – sometimes there is an amount of anxiety involved (sound familiar?). In a world where we are all busy, Christmas can be quite demanding. There is a finite deadline, and all the tasks must be done by that date – no matter what! For some of us, there are flights involved, (thoughtful) gifts to be bought, dinners to plan (not to mention grocery shopping), baking, etc, etc. Where is the time for all of this, and is it worth it? Of course, the answer is yes, it is worth it. I suppose the trick is not to take on too much, plan only what is possible, and be flexible. Not all things are going to go as planned; the details are not what makes Christmas. Christmas is a season, it’s a sentiment, it’s an opportunity to spend time with those we love and perhaps do not see enough of. The gathering of people, the breaking of bread, the cheer and the sense of belonging – that’s what we are after. Don’t let the hustle and bustle of the pre-season discourage you from enjoying the journey. With just 3 weeks to go, find joy in the everyday. To make your Christmas shopping a one-stop, Ruby Tuesday has many of the items that will bring joy to the ones on your list. Our first highlight is our weekly stack. This week, we have the Panther Bold necklace and Bracelet from Vancouver’s Leah Alexandra, the sterling silver paperclip chain, and the sterling silver Love token necklace, also from Leah Alexandra and her sterling silver Margo hoop. Together, these make a bold statement but individually shine on their own. Next, we have the super cute pinecone necklace by Squamish Designer Justine Brooks – an everyday piece that is perfect for the festive season. For those that need a new wallet, the Rome wallet by Montreal’s Matt & Nat has it all – multiple card slots and available in 4 colours. Last on the list today is the Flavie Boot by Montreal’s Nex Grip – rated to -35°C, waterproof and has a built-in ice cleat in the heel – the ideal winter boot. Feel free to reply to this e-mail with thoughts, opinions, or suggestions – I look forward to your comments. We're open in the Whistler village: Sunday to Thursday 10 am - 6 pm Friday and Saturday 10 am - 7 pm If you can't visit us in person, you can still shop all of our new arrivals, jewellery, handbags, footwear, gifts, sales, & more by visiting our website here!
