After last week's deluge of rain, the skies have cleared
and we have had the most beautiful few days. At the higher
elevations, all that precipitation was snow and there is now a snowy
blanket covering the mountains. For us winter dwellers, it is now
time to tick off the winter checklist… snow tires-check, stack
wood-check, winter boots-check. These, of course, are the
practical aspects of winter, making sure you properly prepared
physically to get through the winter months ahead. But with the
changing season, there is also an emotional preparedness. For
skiers and snowboarders, those emotions are excitement and
anticipation. If skiing and riding are not your jam, the changing
seasons might represent new opportunities. I find with the cooler
temperatures and shorter days, the home becomes a place where we spend
more time than we do other times of the year. So take this
opportunity to create a thoughtful space in your home. You might also
consider taking a course, trying new recipes, or simply doing something
you have never done before. Whatever it is you do, make it be for
you and have it bring you joy.
Whistler is abuzz with excitement! The shops are all fully stocked
with winter gear and Whistler/Blackcomb has the snowmakers on full
blast getting a solid snow base in place. At Ruby Tuesday our winter selection of boots are all in as are our Matt & Nat bags and wallets. If you need something to
brighten up your winter wardrobe have a look through our extensive Ayala Bar collection for a hit of colour.
