We have all heard the expression “busy as a bee” and if
you have ever watched bees, you will understand the meaning. While
they are awake (yes bees sleep) they never seem to stop. Each bee has
its role to play and as a group (hive) they manage their community
efficiently and effectively. Symbolically, Bees represent hard
work, productivity, and fertility; the hard work and productivity are
apparent just by watching them but the fertility is what makes them so
interesting. They are the cross-pollinators of the world. As
they collect pollen and nectar for the hive, they, as a result,
transfer the pollen from one plant to another completing the
pollination cycle. That bees are endangered should be a warning
for all as much of our food supply depends on them. So don’t be
afraid of bees, in fact, encourage them. As a proactive measure,
you can put bee-friendly plants in your garden to promote their legacy
– your food supply may depend on it.
On theme for this week's highlights, we have the Honeybee talisman by Pyrrha
– this is by far my most favourite Talisman. So much so, that we
carry it in sterling silver, Bronze, 14k gold inlay on sterling silver,
and a version on a paperclip chain. To see all variations, click here. We
have much new this week, starting with some cozy streetwear to fend off
the unseasonably cool weather. The Shackets (shirt/jacket
= shacket) come in 4 colour combinations and are oh-so-soft to the
touch. Also, in the new streetwear collection, we have our plaid
jackets and vest –
fuzzy and cozy! Lastly, we have brought in new items from Leah
Alexandra – my faves are the Panther
necklace and bracelet
– so tastefully elegant.
If you're in town for Crankworx this week then make time to see us
