What’s the deal with these new weather terms - Bomb Cyclone, or Heat Dome or Atmospheric River or better still Polar Vortex? It seems that “they” don’t feel we are paying enough attention to the weather (like we could ignore it) and these terms are making it more exciting (?). Or maybe it’s about bragging rights because a Bomb Cyclone sounds way cooler than “it’s raining a lot” and Polar Vortex is way more exciting than “it’s really cold”. I wonder if we could combine some of those storms and call it an Atmospheric Polar Bomb – now that would be a storm to deliver an epic ski season! Anyway, it’s all weather and it happens every day so get appropriately dressed and get out in it.
