Best of...

As the summer runs its course, it’s always fun to look back over the past few months and see what your "Best of" moments were. Who did you hang out with? Where did you go? What did you do? Where was your favourite place to go on one of those scorcher days, and alternatively, where did you go on those rainy, cold days? I find summer is the season where there are so many "Best of’s". Even though most of us here in Whistler genuinely love winter, summer holds a very special place in our hearts. I find it is the freedom to come and go without jackets, boots or even a car; freewheeling it by bike or by foot or by boat is so liberating. Our destinations change from somewhere indoors to somewhere outdoors, embracing the season and all it has to offer. Summer, of course, is not over, and there is still time to make a "Best of" memory before the rains come and the snow flies.

To compile a list of "Best of’s" at Ruby Tuesday is challenging in that there are so many great and best sellers – I have, however, come up with a short list. First up is the St Christopher necklace by Vancouver’s Leah Alexandra. This 2-sided pendant appeals to all of us travellers out in the world as St Christopher is the patron Saint of travellers – always good to have someone watching over us. Next up are the paw print necklaces by Justine Brooks – so popular with Dog lovers (and we get a lot of dog lovers). Available in silver and gold, these charming necklaces are a great everyday piece. When it comes to Toronto’s Marmalade Designs, pretty much all of the collection are best sellers but I have highlighted a few that are outstanding – Heart with dots, bear, teeny heart, teeny paw, 2 peas in a pod and the adorable teeny letters. Last today we have our Pyrrha best sellers – Direction, Hummingbird and Loving. Pyrrha always has the best piece to reflect what you are feeling and where you want to go in life.

Feel free to reply to this e-mail with thoughts, opinions, or suggestions – I look forward to your comments.
