With ski season to start in just one month, anticipation is high! And if you pay attention to the Farmer’s Almanac, this winter is set to be what they call a “Classic Canadian” winter. This means snow (and lots of it), storms, and deep freezes – the ideal recipe for an epic ski season. Our last 2 seasons (in my opinion) have been just “okay”, so we are more than ready for a proper winter – bring it on! This is a great time of year when we are actively in a changing landscape. In a very short period of time (perhaps this weekend), the valley will be inundated with snow, and the view out the window will be dramatically different, where we come out the other side of the Wardrobe and wham! Winter is here! At Ruby Tuesday, we are actively anticipating our big shipment of our Nex Grip boots (the beautifully crafted winter boots with the retractable ice cleat on the heel). We have a small selection in stock now and are expecting the rest next week. For our other highlights this week, I have chosen the Pyrrha Sunflower talisman, which is representative of radiant optimism – a perfect symbol for the upcoming ski season! We also have a new Candle collection in stock – Crema Candles are hand-made in Vancouver with 100% soy wax – we currently have a collection of season-worthy scents (including Whistler Woods) ready to set the stage for a cozy winter. Next, we have the Indie crossbody bag by Montreal’s Matt & Nat – not too big, not too small… just right! And lastly today are the Bow stud earrings by Vancouver designer Leah Alexandra – as Leah says, everything is better with a bow on top. Feel free to reply to this e-mail with thoughts, opinions, or suggestions – I look forward to your comments. We're open in the Whistler village: Sunday to Thursday 10 am - 6 pm Friday and Saturday 10 am - 7 pm If you can't visit us in person, you can still shop all of our new arrivals, jewellery, handbags, footwear, gifts, sales, & more by visiting our website here!
