I sure hope Santa loves the cold! I expect that
since he is from the North Pole, he should be quite accustomed to
it. Whistler has been in a deep freeze all this week and windy as
well, sending the thermometer into the negative double digits. I
commend those that braved the weather and went skiing where the
temperatures hit -35 – ouch! On a super positive note, we are
expecting TONS of snow starting Thursday night. The accumulation
between Thursday and Saturday is predicted to be a whopping
68cm. This will be an epic Christmas present for all of
us. Speaking of Christmas presents… how is your shopping
going? Can we be of some assistance? Ruby Tuesday is a
one-stop shop for accessories – Jewellery, handbags, shoes, winter
boots, and a fantastic selection of candles, essential
oils, diffusers,
and blankets.
If you live in Whistler or are giving a gift to someone who lives in
Whistler, or you are going to
be in Whistler, you can order from the website and choose “store pick
up” at check out (to avoid shipping charges). This way you can
just pop in (or have the person receiving the gift pop in) and pick it
up. It will be boxed up and ready for under the tree.
For our last highlights before the Big Day, I have chosen some of our
very best sellers. The Ruby
Boot by NexGrip has been our best seller this
season, but honestly, ALL of the NexGrip boots are fantastic; all have
the retractable cleat on the heel (for ice traction), all are
waterproof and all are rated to either -15c or -35c. The
collection by Leah
Alexandra (a local Vancouver designer) never
disappoints. Her timeless designs add elegance and charm to any
outfit. For Justine Brooks, I have chosen the tiny
dragonfly necklace as it is so adorable and
affordable. Lastly, we have the Krista
handbag by Matt & Nat. It comes in 4
different colours and is the perfect size for everyday use. It has
2 short straps as well as a removable crossbody strap.
So do your best to keep warm out there and pop in to see us if you are
in town!
