The holiday season is so busy that when January hits
it’s necessary to stop – to chill out, relax, take a breather, be lazy.
This holiday season I burnt too many candles at too many ends and
because I didn’t stop, my body made me. On January 2nd I woke up
exhausted, and as a result, I spent last weekend on my couch reading,
watching Netflix, and napping – it was delightful! I thought it a
very appropriate way to spend the first week of the year – and as a
result, I feel re-energized and ready to begin. As has now become
a tradition, instead of a New Year's Resolution, I choose a word that
embodies how I want my year to go. I find this a great exercise
and encourage you to choose one as well. My word this year is
“forward” - what will yours be?
Even though the promise of a cold winter has not really manifested
itself, it is still winter and because of this fact, your feet need
