This is not meant to be sad or morose, but rather to
inspire. A very good friend of a very good friend of mine is
dying. Last fall he was diagnosed with cancer and now, his days,
weeks, and months are numbered. He is well past his youth but not
yet old – he is too young to die. Dying is not something I think
about all that often but upon hearing this sad news I pondered what
this journey would look like. Beyond putting your affairs in
order, how do you say goodbye to your life? When we fade away,
what’s left in our wake? I believe that at every stage of life,
it’s important to be proud of your accomplishments – to believe every
day that you are leading a good life. There will always be things
you want to do but do not let the things you have not done erase the
importance of what you have done. Be kind, contribute, be a good
friend, and above all, be satisfied with what you have and where you
are in your life’s journey.
For my highlight this week – let’s focus on Summer (now that it is
