Managing new friendships as an adult can be a
challenging affair. People need time to get to know each
other and in that time frame much can happen. It’s a big
deal to let someone new into your inner circle, there is a lot of trust
and it is not without some risk. By the time you are an adult, you
have made (and perhaps lost or dismissed) many friends along the
way. Some of our friends we have had forever (the ones who know us
well and like us anyway) and many we have had for quite some time (and
still seem to like us); but new friends are more difficult to find and
once found can be difficult to keep. I wish I had all the answers
but sadly I studied English, not psychology. I do know that
everyone comes to the table with their own unique bag of experiences. Some
people are overly private or sensitive (or the opposite of both) and
offense can easily be taken (or given). Conversation is a great
way to bridge an uncomfortable gap but sometimes getting to that
conversation is insurmountable. You won’t always know why you lost
a friend but you will know when you have found a keeper.
For my highlights this week, the obvious first choice is the My

chosen a few items from Leah

of your friends. The Love
