Have you ever watched a spider build a web? It is fascinating! This is one of the many things that remind me that there are better things to do than watch than TV. I’m not going to get into how they build webs but I do encourage you to sit yourself down and watch it happen – it is dedication and persistence like you have never seen. Spiders have never been my favourite creature on the planet but I have to admit they are wonderous and of course when we think of Halloween visions of spiders abound. In a couple of days, we will be celebrating Halloween and whatever that looks like for you is your own business; but I have to admit I love seeing houses decorated and absolutely adore seeing the little ones in their costumes trolling the neighbourhoods for candy. When we get to the end of October and our days are about to get really short, we need these bouts of festive fun. So indulge in some candy and if the broom fits, fly it.
Highlights this week: the Persist Talisman by Pyrrha, showcasing a spider on a web hanging from a banner that reads “persist” encouraging the wearer to persist in their unwavering pursuit of their goals. Next, we have the Mana Jewellery collection, hand made in Pemberton BC; beautifully light with sterling silver hooks and findings. The Esme backpack by Matt & Nat is the perfect sized back pack for all your daily needs; take it to work, out running errands or wherever your day takes you. Lastly, we have the Lylia tall winter boot by Nex Grip. Rated to -35c, water proof and has a built-in ice cleat in the heel to prevent slipping – a go to boot for the winter ahead.
