June is the month of school graduation, whether that be from elementary school, high school, university, or college. It is perhaps the most profound change in a person’s life. I often wonder if students fully understand the change coming – not that I think this is important, in fact it's probably best if they don’t. Change often requires effort and the willingness to adapt to new surroundings (figuratively and literally), which for some is daunting and for others offers freedom and autonomy. Through these significant events of change, there is a profound transformation; it is amazing to witness. But people do not stop changing, adapting, or transforming once graduated; we continue to grow as we face life and its many bags of tricks. So perhaps look at life as a continuous graduation; recognize what opportunities (obstacles) you have embraced (overcome) and grant yourself a badge of graduation – you deserve it.
With graduation in mind, the Pyrrha talisman Potential for greatness is forefront. We all have potential, celebrate that potential, and believe “yes I can”. Also, by Pyrrha is the Dragonfly talisman – dragonflies are often associated with transformation, so this talisman is for someone who aspires to welcome change with joy and levity. Next, we have the Bee pieces from Marmalade. Bees are symbolic of hard work and productivity, which are useful (necessary?) attributes for someone facing change.
