We are so excited to introduce one of our newest designers… Leah Alexandra!
Leah Alexandra describes her jewelry as always having been a passion project inspired by the amazing women in her life. Leah first started developing her skill for design and craftsmanship while obtaining a Bachelor of Design at Ryerson University. Shortly after graduating, Leah moved from Toronto to Vancouver where she enrolled in a metalsmithing course, followed by an internship for a local goldsmith. It was during this time that Leah began slowly but surely collecting materials to create her own pieces she felt couldn’t be found elsewhere. She then decided to take a chance on her hobby and trade in her savings for gemstones. With this leap of faith, Leah Alexandra Jewelry was born – soon to be treasured and coveted around the world by women from all walks of life. At the forefront of each design is a penchant for adventure and sourcing unique, beautiful materials. Leah travels the globe to source genuine semi-precious gemstones in every colour of the rainbow. Each and every gem is carefully selected to ensure the best composition of colour, cut and clarity.
1) Luna Necklace and Earrings
A delicate crescent moon makes for a barely-there yet always noticeable addition to any combination of layers. The necklace hangs on a 15″ gold filled chain. The little pavé CZ moon studs add the perfect celestial glimmer to your earlobes. The studs are made of gold plated Sterling Silver and measure 8mm.
2) Love Token Necklace
Based on Rosemonde Gerard’s 19th century French poem, the Love Token Necklace is stamped with the French sentiment “qu’hier – que demain”.
It is a symbol of growing love which translates from the poem’s French verse meaning “I love you more than yesterday and less than tomorrow”. Whether an expression of self-love, romance, or friendship, this pendant is as meaningful as it is franco-chic. The pendant is made of gold plated sterling silver pendant with CZ and measures 11mm. It hangs on a 18” gold filled box chain with 2.5” extender.
3) Stunning Rings
A nod to the past while being distinctly contemporary, the Déja Ring is inspired by forms found in mid-century modern design. Its geometric shape evokes a sense of masculinity while the subtle CZ sparkle is strikingly feminine. Everyday and essential are synonymous when it comes to the petite stackable Element gemstone ring. Whether to represent your own birthstone, a loved one’s, a significant moment in time, or simply your favourite stone, the Element Ring is a ‘forever’ piece you’ll never want to take off (and won’t have to). The sapphire stone in this 14k gold setting represents September birthdays. Evoking royalty, the Reign ring makes a statement while also serving as the perfect starting point to any stack. Beaded edging lends a touch of old world charm to this already classic ring. Combining the luminescence of pearl with the glint of pavé CZs, the Satori Ring’s classic open band makes for a prominent piece all on its own or the perfect companion to any stack.
4) Oval Spark Locket
A future heirloom — this antique inspired locket is made to be passed down through generations and keeps your loved ones close to your heart. The Oval Locket features a high-polished, gold filled surface which houses a genuine diamond spark on a 24” chain to anchor your layers while the Petite Satin Oval Locket features a 14K gold filled satin center which houses a genuine diamond and a polished border on a 16″ fine cable chain with 1.5” extender.
5) Strand Lariat Necklace
The Strand Lariat Necklace is not your average strand of pearls.
Designed to give both the appearance and feeling of weightlessness, delicate trios of pearls are strung together by gold chain and create a universally flattering neckline. Each freshwater pearl measures 1mm. The gold filled lariat necklace measures 15.5″ with a 3″ drop and 2″ extender.
